Creating a Consistent Journaling Routine

Creating a Consistent Journaling Routine
Creating a consistent journaling routine might seem a little overwhelming at first. You might be thinking that you are unsure of what to write about, you don't have a proper space in your home to journal, you aren't a writer so why would you possibly need to journal, or you might be thinking you just don't have the time to sit and journal.

All those thoughts you are thinking can be broken down though with these 5 tips...

Journaling to Help with Stress & Worry

Journaling to Help with Stress & Worry
Do you struggle with stress and worry throughout your days? We live in such a fast-paced world that somedays it just feels hard to keep up with all the things on our never ending to-do lists. Journaling can be a way for you to release your stress and worry - to leave it all out on the pages and to feel more grounded and peaceful so you can move throughout your day with ease.

A few days ago my anxiety came crashing over me like a giant wave. When it comes out of nowhere it can feel like your breathe has been knocked out of you. Have you ever experienced that before? It was so hard to shake it off and it left me just feeling so discouraged. Then it dawned on me that I had gone 4 or 5 days without my morning routine.

Within my morning routine I set aside time to journal. Journaling is a fantastic way to release any self-doubt or worry that is floating around in your mind. You don't have to write long eloquent sentences - it doesn't need to be perfect. Just write out all the stress and worry you are struggling with.

When we let stress and worry build up inside of us we leave ourselves open and vulnerable to depression and anxiety. I'm so guilty of stuffing my stress and worry, but I've learned that journaling can be such a beautiful outlet. Take time today to write out what is on your mind. You can write it in list form, you can write it out as a prayer, or you can write it out in sentences. Write what feels best for you.

1 Peter 5:7 says to 'Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.' Jesus wants to hear what is on your mind and heart. He cares so much for you and he can help you release any doubt, worry, insecurities, or anxiety. You are not meant to carry such heavy loads of stress and worry.

If you are brand new to journaling I'd love to gift you my Journaling Routine Starter Kit. Inside I share with you how begin your journaling routine, to begin your day with gratitude, and I provide 5 prompts to help you get started. If that sounds like something you could find value in, you can download that for free HERE

Do You Know What is Hiding in Your Perfume?

Do You Know What is Hiding in Your Perfume?
Have you ever walked past someone or down a perfume aisle and you instantly got a headache? That might just be related to the harmful ingredients that are often blended in commercial fragrances.

Breaking up with my store bought perfumes was one of the hardest things I had to do for incorporating a natural lifestyle; but I knew that it was going to be one of the best things I did for my overall wellness. Plus, just because you are choosing a more holistic approach to your wellness, doesn't mean it has to be...

How You Can Begin Your Day Without Rushing or Hustling

How You Can Begin Your Day Without Rushing or Hustling
I know that mornings can be a bit of a whirlwind, you hop out of bed to hurry and get ready, you maybe grab breakfast, and you arrive at work right on time only to feel like you could crawl back into bed. When you are intentional with your morning and create a routine that eases you into the day you are that much more focused and confident for the day ahead. Your morning routine should be a time that is precious to you, something that you look forward to, and it might just mean you have to wake up a few minutes earlier. I promise it'll be worth it though.

I first heard about a morning routine from an online business training. It was during a time where I truly felt my lowest and I just felt like I was going through the motions of my day to appear like everything was fine. When I was listening to the speaker, I remember thinking...

Beauty Care is More than Makeup

Beauty Care is More than Makeup
Have you ever asked yourself why you wear makeup? Seems like a silly question, doesn't it? At one time though, I use to wear makeup like it was my own personal armor. At a young age I was bullied for the way I looked, the way I wore my hair, for answering questions incorrectly, and so much more.

The bullying continued into middle school and even into high school - all by different groups of mean girls. The bullying was off and on, and I never felt like I wasn't safe, but my heart and feelings were definitely hurt. It created trust issues, poor relationship choices, an eating disorder (that is thankfully healed) and insecurities in myself.

The moment I was able to wear makeup I never went without it. It was like my shield that protected...
