How to Prepare Your Business for the Holidays Without Losing Peace
The holidays are just around the corner, and if you’re a Christian woman running a business, you’ve probably felt the tension already. You want to finish the year strong.
You want to serve your audience well. You want to enjoy the season with your family. And you want to do it all without burning out. Sound familiar?

I’ve been there. For years, I tried to juggle “all the things” through November and December - all the holiday sales, content planning, social posts, Pinterest pins, offers, emails, events, and family gatherings. I’d start the season excited and end it exhausted. There’s a better, more peace-led way to approach the holidays. It starts with strategy, surrender, and simple systems that support your business goals without sacrificing your sanity. Let’s walk through how to prepare your business for the holidays without losing peace.

1. Anchor Yourself Before You Plan
Before you map out offers, emails, or Pinterest content, pause. One of the greatest mistakes we make as Christian entrepreneurs is rushing straight into execution without first asking the Lord for direction. When I’ve skipped this step, I always end up striving and later feeling so discouraged, or worse - burnt out. But when I take even 15 minutes to sit with Him first, the clarity changes everything.

Take 15–20 minutes with the Lord and journal through grounding questions like these:
  • Lord, what is most important this season?
  • How do You want me to show up in business and in life?
  • Where am I tempted to strive? Where can I trust You more?
  • What would it look like to pursue peace and not just performance?
When you start from a posture of alignment, your strategy becomes so much more sustainable. You’re not just planning tasks, you’re stewarding what matters most.

Pro Tip: Add a seasonal verse to your journal for focus. For example, Isaiah 26:3: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.”

2. Batch Content Before the Holiday Rush
One of the most practical ways to protect your peace during the holidays? Batch your content. Batching simply means creating and scheduling your content ahead of time so you’re not scrambling each day or week to post something. When you batch, you buy back your presence. You free up mental space to focus on your family, worship, and even enjoy the little holiday traditions without your phone glued to your hand.

Here’s a simple batching checklist to guide you:
  • Social Posts: Aim for 3–4 weeks of content by mid-November
  • Email Newsletters: Schedule any Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or end-of-year campaigns
  • Pinterest Pins: Design & schedule seasonal content through December
  • Blog Posts: Pre-write 1–2 posts that align with your offers or keywords
Quick Tip: Focus on timeless value + seasonal relevance. For example:
  • “Holiday Gift Guide for Christian Women in Business”
  • “My Favorite Bible Studies to End the Year Well”
  • “Faith-Based Goal Setting for the New Year”
Even one afternoon of batching can free you up for weeks.

3. Use Pinterest as a Long-Term Holiday Strategy
Here’s the thing: Pinterest content takes time to gain traction. Most pins perform best 45-60 days after being published. That means the best time to start pinning holiday content is in September, not in December. You always want to be thinking ahead with Pinterest. Whether you’re linking to blog posts, gift guides, affiliate offers, or your own products, scheduling those pins early ensures your audience finds your content at the exact time they’re searching for it.

Use Pinterest Trends (a free tool) to see when searches start rising. Holiday searches often begin as early as September or October!

Some holiday-friendly keywords to try:
  • Christian gift ideas
  • Advent devotionals
  • Holiday wellness routines
  • December journaling prompts
  • End-of-year business planning
The content you pin now will serve you this season and can continue circulating for future seasons, too.

4. Simplify Your Offers & Promotions
The holidays are loud, especially online. Everyone is shouting about deals, sales, and “can’t-miss” promotions. If you’re not careful, it can feel overwhelming to both you and your audience.

Instead of creating five new offers, refine what you already have. Look at your existing resources and ask yourself:
  • What would bless my audience right now?
  • Is there a simple way to bundle or repurpose what I’ve already created?
  • What offer feels aligned and peaceful to promote?
Here are some ideas that keep things simple:
  • Bundle a few digital products and offer them as a “Holiday Reset Kit.”
  • Create a “Gift a Journal” page with affiliate links + meaningful descriptions.
  • Host a one-time workshop or live session on planning with God for the new year.
The best offers are clear, simple, and helpful. They don’t add to the noise; they cut through it. This is one of the core principles I teach in Lead from the Overflow, simplifying your rhythms so you can steward your time and energy well.

5. Set Boundaries Around Work Time
This one’s big. It’s easy to let business consume your December. But if you don’t set boundaries, you’ll find yourself constantly working, scrolling, or answering emails while your family is making memories without you. Decide now what your work hours will look like through the holidays. Set those boundaries before the holiday chaos kicks in.

Maybe that looks like:
  • Logging off by 3pm each day
  • Taking the week of Christmas completely off
  • Turning off notifications every weekend
  • Prepping auto-responder emails for slower inbox time
When you create space to rest, you protect your peace and your presence, with your family, with the Lord, and with yourself.

Peace Over Performance
You don’t have to run yourself into the ground to finish strong this year. You don’t have to post every day, chase every trend, or say yes to every opportunity. You can run a peaceful, purposeful business that reflects the rhythms of grace. You can choose intention over hustle. You can slow down and still serve well. So here’s your permission slip: Prepare in advance. Show up with strategy. Then rest in the results, because God is the one who brings the increase.

Quick Tips: Preparing for the Holidays with Peace
  • Journal with God before you plan your quarter
  • Batch 3–4 weeks of content in advance
  • Pin seasonal content early (30–45 days out)
  • Simplify your offers instead of creating something new
  • Set boundaries around your schedule and social media time
Final Thoughts: Build Peace-Led Rhythms in Your Business
The holidays are just one season where peace can feel hard to hold onto, but the truth is, this isn’t just a seasonal need. As Christian women in business, we’re called to lead with intention, clarity, and faith year-round. That begins with learning how to partner with the Lord in our work, lead ourselves well, and create rhythms that release pressure instead of piling it on.

That’s exactly what I teach inside my course, Lead from the Overflow. In this course, you’ll learn how to:
  • Partner with God in your business decisions and daily rhythms
  • Discern between distractions and divine direction
  • Build business systems and boundaries that allow you to thrive
  • Take care of yourself as a leader so you can pour into your clients and community with purpose
This isn’t just about managing tasks; it’s about transforming the way you lead, work, and live. If you’ve been craving clarity, peace, and a healthier rhythm in your business, this is the next step you’ve been looking for. Learn more about Lead from the Overflow here.
