Summer has a way of shifting everything, doesn’t it? The slower mornings. The sunlight that lingers longer. The desire to unplug and savor the season… while still stewarding the business God has placed in your hands.
If you're like many Christian women in business, you’re trying to figure out how to balance rhythms of rest and routines of responsibility. You want to be present with your people and purposeful in your work. That’s exactly why I started creating seasonal schedules. Not strict systems. Not rigid routines. But rhythms that fit the life I’m actually living.
Your Summer Doesn’t Have to Look Like Your Fall
If you’re coming out of a busy launch season, school year, or just the fullness of everyday life, summer is the perfect opportunity to reassess. Your schedule doesn’t have to stay the same just because it’s what you’ve always done. This is a season to create on-purpose ease. To build your days around what lights you up. To work from rest, not for it. And yes, to make space for sunshine, iced coffee walks, time with Jesus, and even spontaneous getaways.

How I Create My Summer Schedule as a Christian Woman Solopreneur
I approach summer scheduling with three questions:
- What do I want to make time for this summer, personally and spiritually?
Morning quiet time? Beach days? Longer dog walks? Family road trips? - What business tasks can I simplify or batch to reduce daily demands?
Pinterest batching? Blog post writing days? Weekly CEO blocks? - What offerings or goals are truly essential, and which can wait?
Not everything needs to launch now. Summer might be your strategy season.
Here’s what that looks like for me:
- Mornings: Devotions, functional coffee, wellness check-in, and one focused work block (content writing, Pinterest, or client work)
- Afternoons: Light admin or scheduling work only if needed. Otherwise, walks, rest, reading, and presence
- Evenings: No business tasks. Just books, tea, and dog snuggles on the patio

I design my business around my life, not the other way around. And that’s made all the difference.
Fun Is a Form of Faithfulness
Let me say something bold: You were not created to hustle through summer. If joy feels like an afterthought in your business, it’s time to re-center. When we make time for the things that bring life, we’re actually stewarding our creativity, clarity, and energy better. God didn’t design you to burn out. He delights when you enjoy what He’s created.
So go to the farmer’s market. Take the Friday off. Create from a place of inspiration, not exhaustion. You have permission to slow down and still move forward.
Tips for Building a Summer Schedule You’ll Actually Enjoy
- Batch and automate where you can. Pinterest, email, and blog posts can all be prepped in advance.
- Anchor your week with 1–2 CEO Days. Keep consistent time blocks to stay present with your business without feeling like it runs your life.
- Create a "Summer Fun" list. Let this be part of your planning. Fun doesn’t need to be spontaneous to be sacred.
- Let your offerings match your energy. If summer is a slower season, lean into evergreen content or digital products (like my Pinterest Template Bundle or Journaling Guidebooks).
- Protect your mornings. Start with the Lord, not your phone or inbox. Even 15 minutes can shift everything.

Final Thoughts: Your Summer Can Be Both Peaceful & Purposeful
Summer isn’t a break from your calling, it’s an invitation to realign with it. This is your reminder: You get to create a business that fits your values, your season, and your God-given desires. You don’t have to keep up with someone else’s pace. You don’t have to hustle your way through June, July, and August. You get to choose rhythms that honor God, your family, and your joy.
So go ahead and create your Summer of Peaceful Growth, one that weaves in sun-drenched walks, deep rest, and faith-fueled work.
