The Surprising Benefits of Thinking Positively Every Day
How often do you pause and think about the thoughts you are telling yourself? We can really be our own worst critic, can’t we? It’s so important to be filling your mind with positive thoughts, words, affirmations, and Bible verses.

Have you ever stopped yourself mid-thought when you are being too hard on yourself? This is something I’ve personally been trying to work on. The negative thoughts can just come way too easy for me. I’ve got a really great trick that has been helping with flipping the script. Give this a try next time you find yourself being a little too unkind to yourself.

Here’s a little example of flipping the script: “I am so dumb, I’ll never be able to figure it out.” Okay, now flip it around and try this instead, “It’s okay to make a mistake. I am always learning and growing.” See the difference? You can practice this anytime you start to feel a negative thought coming. 

Affirmations can be a really helpful mental wellness tool as well. When you feel discouraged or you just don't know how to flip the script to make your thoughts more positive you can give these 10 affirmations a try to help you get started with speaking more mindfully over yourself: 

  1. I am worthy of love and happiness.
  2. I am capable of overcoming any challenges that come my way.
  3. I choose to focus on the positive in every situation.
  4. I am grateful for all the good things in my life.
  5. I trust in my ability to make the right decisions for myself.
  6. I release all negative thoughts and emotions and embrace positivity.
  7. I am proud of who I am and all that I have accomplished.
  8. I am surrounded by love, support, and positivity.
  9. I am capable of achieving my goals and dreams.
  10. I am at peace with myself and my life.

    Remember to repeat these affirmations regularly, and believe in them. The more you practice them, the more they will become a part of your mindset and help to boost your mood.
